Does self cleaning litter box require special litter?

Does self cleaning litter box run on batteries or does it need to be plugged in?

The self cleaning litter box is plug in and does not require any batteries.
Will my cat actually use it?

Cats are generally curious and will investigate any new object. Cats that are already used to a covered litter box may be quicker to investigate. We recommend that you leave self cleaning litter box turned off at first while your cat acclimates. Place the self cleaning litter box in the same location as the old litter box. You can leave the old litter box near self cleaning litter box for a short time. Take a cup of litter from the old litter box and add it to the clean litter in self cleaning litter box. The scent will be familiar, and your cat will be inclined to investigate. Once your cat ventures inside and feels the litter under their paws, they will know what to do.
Does it require special garbage bags?

No it does not require a special garbage bag. As long as it fits, you can use it. Customers often use 10- to 13-gallon kitchen garbage bags or large plastic grocery bags.
How often do I need to empty the waste drawer?

Once every 10-12 days per one cat is usually sufficient; two cats, twice per week; three cats, every other day, and so on.
